FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW TALL ARE YOU ABLE TO BUILD TRUSSES?
Due to the size of our table, we are only able to build trusses 13' 6" tall. Anything taller requires a piggyback (cap) truss. So essentially any truss over 13' 6" will come in two parts to be assembled on site.
Any truss over 12' is considered an oversize load for transport and often requires a pilot car, which incurs an additional delivery fee.
HOW LONG ARE YOU ABLE TO BUILD TRUSSES?
Our table allows us to build trusses up to about 80'. At around 50' we strongly recommend that a truss has a 2x6 top chord. This gives the truss more rigidity when being set. We require a sign-off if you opt-out of 2x6 top chord lumber for any truss greater than 50'. The same goes for any truss over 60' and 2x8 top chord lumber.
HOW DO YOU DELIVER TRUSSES?
Our trailers have rollers that allow for trusses to slide off when the trailer is elevated. So as long as there is ample space for our trucks to back in and an open area to drop trusses, there is no need for on-site equipment for delivery. We recommend that you do not schedule a crane until after trusses are delivered, as weather can potentially delay delivery.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PAY FOR TRUSSES?
We prefer payment to be made in cash or by check. We normally do not accept cards, but if you wish to pay by card we charge an additional 4%.
Our prices are only good for 30 days. All orders will be adjusted for current lumber costs at the time of production if beyond 30 days of bid or order date.
HOW DO I GET TRUSS DESIGNS FOR PERMITTING?
Our estimates are free but we do not provide individual truss designs until an order has been placed. These are not stamped/sealed drawings. We send for sealed drawings once an order has been finalized.
DO YOU SELL BEAMS OR TJI'S?
We only sell Roof Trusses, Floor Trusses, and hardware for truss to truss connections. We are not able to spec beams or ledgers. Nor do we sell loose lumber.
DO YOU SET THE TRUSSES ON SITE?
We are a production facility and do not offer framing/boom work. We deliver the trusses to the job and, other than the rare instance that a truss requires a repair, we do not offer any other on-site services.
WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?
We serve Southeastern Idaho and parts of Western Wyoming. Due to recent constraints in supply and labor, we are unable to do business outside of those areas.
